A Seventeen Year Old Football Captain Fights Cyber Bullying With Nice Tweets
A Minnesota high school has a new famous student. He got his fame not because he is the football captain of Osseo High School but of his non-violent way to fight cyber bullies for his schoolmates.
The 17-year old football captain, Kevin Curwick, created a Tweeter account and posted “nice” comments of the schoolmates that have been bullied on the cyber space to lift their spirits. Because of his kind acts, his @OsseoNiceThings account has gained a few famous followers like Selena Gomez and Brooklyn Decker.
Some of Curwick’s tweets include “great artist but even better friend”, “Osseo’s rawest rapper”, and “puts others before herself” about his bullied schoolmates.
“A nice word can go a long ways,” Curwick said. “We are a society looking for the positive.”
During his KARE TV interview, he told the reporter that – “It’s become Minnesota Nice, you know? I feel like that is what we are spreading.”
He told his friends that he was surprised to get a tweet from the swimsuit supermodel Brooklyn Decker and she is now following @OsseoNiceThings.
