Human Languages are Inclined towards Happy Words, Study Says

optimismA recent study says that human languages are more inclined towards using positive words. The researchers investigated 10 languages of the world and concluded that these languages are biased towards being happy. Detailed in the latest issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the study supports the Pollyanna Hypothesis according to which, using positive words more frequently than the negative ones is a universal human tendency.
