Duval schools to keep a database on student good deeds

Duval County Public SchoolsAt the same time Duval public schools toughens its punishments for bad behavior, it is launching an electronic program to promote good behavior.

School officials Monday announced that 54 of its schools have adopted the Hero program, an online software system costing $250,000 that relies on teachers and other school staff scanning student IDs to give them points for behaving well.
