Alaska Resident Started a “Magic Yarn Project” To Create Special ‘Princess’ Wigs for Kids With Cancer

After Alaska resident, Holly Christensen, made a ‘Princess’ wig for her friend’s daughter who was diagnosed with Cancer, she immediately received a request from another family asking for a similar wig for their child with cancer. The request inspired Holly to come up with the “Magic Yarn Project” with volunteers to make more of these special wigs for kids with cancer.
Holly used to work as a cancer nurse, so she understands traditional wigs are harsh on kids since the chemotherapy leaves their skin very tender and sensitive…
