Viruses like Ebola, Zika, herpes, dengue and influenza could be killed by a newly developed macromolecule created by a group of researchers at IBM and the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology in Singapore. Viral infections are often hard to defeat because they mutate quickly, but researchers believe the new macromolecule may have the potential to successfully treat multiple types of viruses and prevent them from infecting us.
