Celebrating Cora: Three-year-old with genetic disease inspires good deeds in community, around the world

kindnessPeople around the world celebrated the birthday of three-year-old Cora McDonald by performing acts of kindness in her name.
Cora was born Aug. 15, 2013 to Holly and Todd McDonald.

Cora was diagnosed with Tay-Sachs disease before reaching her first birthday.

“Tay-Sachs is a rare genetic degenerative disease with no cure,” said Holly. “Children with Tay-Sachs usually die by the age of three or four years old. Cora just turned three, so that is a great achievement for Cora.”
