First-grader Ellie Atherton was diagnosed with alopecia areata, an auto-immune disorder that causes hair loss. She eventually started shaving her head and wearing wigs instead.

Her teacher and classmates wanted to support Ellie and dedicated a day called “pink wig day” for her. Ellie’s favorite color is pink, so staff, students, and even parents at Warren School in Ashland, MA showed up with bright pink hair.

The Love Button Global Movement is a nonprofit organization with an international humanitarian mission to foster loving acts of kindness and to collaborate with organizations and individuals who transform and uplift the lives of our human family. Love Button supports programs locally and globally that promote physical and mental health, nurture education and cultivate loving action through our “Love Is” Dandelion Initiative.
Together, we are healing our world.
